About Coquina Dance

Thank You for Supporting Local Businesses

Hey there! I’m Annette Berksan, and I put my heart and soul into handcrafting each and every piece right here in Port Aransas, Texas. The coastal beauty of the Texas Gulf has a profound influence on my designs, mirroring my deep affection for the beach, surf, and sand.

My journey into jewelry making was driven by a desire to offer exquisitely designed pieces at accessible prices, using only the finest materials. I’ve refined my skills through extensive training with top-notch designers, mastering a diverse range of techniques and styles.

Seeing the joy on someone’s face when they wear my creations is truly the ultimate reward. I genuinely hope that you find as much delight in wearing my jewelry as I do in creating it.

Volunteer Work

Giving back to this wonderful community is important to me. When I’m not making jewelry, I volunteer for two local nonprofit organizations. I am the social media and print design volunteer for the Port Aransas Community Theatre. In addition, I designed and maintain the website for the Port Aransas Preservation Historical Association and Wooden Boat Festival websites.

Coquina Dance

Why Coquina Dance?

Coquinas are my favorite shells. You can find the tiny colorful coquina clams buried just under the sand at the water’s edge. When the receding waves uncover them, they seem to dance in unison as they work to bury themselves back into the sand.

Look for the coquinas next time you walk along the beach. Then you’ll understand why I’ve been fascinated by them for as long as I can remember. 🙂
